Generation 1 – Home

TWF Generation 1 (The original) – 1993-2001

The original TWF was a “backyard” organisation of sorts, except that most of the wrestling took place either on local school fields or at one of our homes (shh, don’t tell the school or our parents!). The first era of the TWF, from 1993-early 2000 has only 3 events on tape, with most of the action taking place without the use of a video camera. And to be fair, most of it wouldn’t be worth keeping anyway except for nostalgia.

Around April 2000, “Vince McMahon” joined in the mayhem and brought some structure to the TWF, writing almost all of the shows for the next 18 months.

This period of the TWF came to an end at Christmas 2001 with the appropriately named “PPV” End of Days. At this point we had made 9 old school VHS tapes with custom covers, amounting to approximately 55 hours of footage.

An attempt was made to resurrect the TWF with a “New Era” in 2002, but this came to a sudden halt after the first show, TWF Drive, neared completion. This show was thought lost but in 2017 it was rescued from the master tapes and edited together. The opening sequence of Drive episode 2 and opening segment were also saved and restored at the same time. This marked the last batch of footage recorded in the original run.

The TWF roster reunited in November 2006 to record a one-off tribute show to mark the passing of The Undertaker, Scott Kennedy, at the far too young age of 23. Until this website, that show marked the last original piece of TWF content ever produced.

For reasons of good taste and protecting some of the performers in their current job roles, none of these old tapes will be made available for viewing. Very sorry about that. But in the absence of the footage, all of the information we can publish is provided below.
